Job Summary
.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales, the Corporate Sales Manager is accountable to meet and exceed individual revenue and activity targets on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.  Key focus is the acquisition of new corporate accounts and management of existing key accounts.

 

Key Result Areas

 

My Guest

·         Prospects and acquires new corporate accounts.

·         Manages and grows existing accounts assigned

·         Knows the competition and their corporate accounts (volume, rates, potential to shift market share).

·         Develops strategic business case strategies to capture full revenue potential.

·         Establishes target accounts based on Hotelligence reports.

·         Negotiate corporate account contracts and work with operating departments to ensure loaded information is correct and contractual agreements are met.

·         Participate in presentations to Travel Management companies in cities across Canada.

·         Attend meetings and make presentations as required.

·         Participate in designated training and special projects.

·         Participate in Budget preparation meetings.

·         Coaches and counsels Sales Coordinator to maximize productivity.

Requirement
.

Working Experience

·         Minimum of 2 years experience in Corporate sales.

·         Positive attitude and supportive, team based approach towards the attainment of the hotel's goals.

 

Knowledge

·         Computer literacy (Delphi, Word, Excel).

·         Ability to understand and interpret financial data.

 

Education

·         Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree preferred

 

Soft Skills

·         Highly focused ‘hunter’ working towards accomplishing monthly quotas linking sales activities, room night generation and new business leads.

·         Must be results oriented with ability to be flexible.

·         Strategic account development.

·         Excellent customer service and relationship building.

 

Language

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.

 

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days, including occasional weekends.

·         Ability to sit for extended periods.

·         Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
